You are using a no limits fallacy. The laser that affected Superman was strong enough to bypass his durability (which is far beyond human level). You have to prove that Strange's energy weapons has the power output to bypass Superman's durability as well. Killing mages isn't proof to being able to bypass Superman's durability.
