President Trump Likely Won The Popular Vote, Too

Worthy of it's own thread for the *President Elect.

Shitlibs are hanging their egos on the wispy reed of the popular vote, claiming (wrongly) that Trump’s electoral win is illegitimate because he (narrowly) lost the popular vote. They are wrong whether their premise is true or false. Remind them that their beloved Bill Clinton won his 1992 election with 43% of the popular vote…meaning, quite correctly, that 57% of Americans did not want Bill for President. Bubba then went on to win his 1996 reelection with 49.2% of the popular vote. Was democracy subverted by Bill Clinton’s back-to-back Presidencies each won with under 50% of the popular vote total?

Regardless of shitlib historical ignorance and incoherence about American republicanism and the electoral college championed by Alexander Hamilton, the reality is that Trump likely won the popular vote, too. Not all the states have finished counting. MI is still tallying as of this post. Once counting up Trump’s states is done, the current popular vote difference will narrow. More crucially, it is probable that thecunt’s national vote total is padded by the votes of millions of illegal aliens.

An estimated 2-3 million illegal voters in sanctuary cities.

Right now, she leads the popular vote by 300-500K. Toss those illegal alien votes (of which she doubtlessly received the overwhelming bulk), plus any felon votes and fraudulent votes (I see dead Democreeps), and Trump takes a 2-3% popular vote lead. For this reason, President Trump should use his Golden Mandate to immediately send to Congress a Voter ID law. It’s time, for the sake of American democracy, to crack down on vote and election fraud.

Also most people simply point out the fact that the Electoral College may be past it's expiration date when someone can win the popular vote but still lose. I'm sure Republicans think differently otherwise two of their presidential candidates would have lost

Also this could have been a lot worse, thank god the election wasn't decided by a bunch of illegal voters. That would have truly been something to protest about. Either legal citizens decide this shit or nobody does.

But you and I both know the democrats would think differently about the EC too if it had been the reason Hilary won lol. It's part of the reason for the humor, a good chunk of them genuinely seem to be under the impression they'd be just as pissed off even if Trump got the popular vote and Hilary won the election. They really wouldn't be though. The Washington Post would probably write an article hailing the EC as the best thing since sliced bread.

I would love to have a window into a parallel universe where Trump won the popular vote, but lost the election. So I could just record the reactions from politicians and celebrities and compare it to the ones here who are saying the EC is basically the worst thing since Jesus died.

Hillary's defeat was not impossible, it was just incredibly improbable, and required a confluence of both random and systemic polling errors, as well as well-timed incidents such as Comey.

Exit polls have not indicated that Comey caused Hillary to lose. I don't know why people buy this, either. More likely, it helped her because they "cleared" her and he wrote a clarifying letter before they "cleared" her. In my opinion, it was intended to help her and Comey was on her side.

Bernie, someone pretty much all of us in this forum like, even states that it didn't cause her to lose.

Based on the actual opinions from people in the swing states, Hillary lost because it was a massive "f*** you" to the democrats and especially Hillary.

I see some sites trying to pass off the Comey thing as what caused Clinton to lose. There was evidence, months before general election day, that Hillary would lose. We (mainstream media) just ignored it. And many Dem. pundits had and continue to talk about this. Dems. were disenchanted with Hillary since the Bernie debacle. Why did Hillary Clinton REALLY lose? She was too wooden and did not resonate with the working class. She lost the swing states SPECIFICALLY because of this. As I pointed out, exit polls indicated Trump was less trusted and less fit to be president than Hillary...but they still voted AGAINST Hillary. Read that: against Hillary, not for Trump, AGAINST Hillary. As I have been telling people, Trump didn't win, Hillary lost and there is a difference.

And it seems odd that people forget that the Comey thing actually helped Clinton as reported by some news sources:

The "Comey made Hillary lose" rhetoric needs to die a very quick death.

Perhaps my mind can be changed. But I'm not buying that Comey lost Clinton the election. I didn't forget that people thought it helped her when it broke. I didn't forget that people (including important people and talking heads in the media) thought it was setup by Hillary when Comey cleared her BEFORE election day. And I certainly did not forget that Hillary made a massive surge a couple of days leading up to election day, in the polls.
