Just because Yaddle and Yoda are the same species doesn't mean they share potential, lol. And Yaddle spent her time sitting on her ass in a peaceful Republic, while Scourge fought his ass off in an incredibly competitive Empire and prepared to help the HoT save the universe. Just because one person didn't reach their potential doesn't mean everyone else fails. 🙄
Yaddle canonically has a similar aptitude to the Force as Yoda. 👆
She also used the Force in a way/potency Anakin never felt before(granted he never felt Yoda go all-out, but you get the picture). And over a century of her lifetime was spent fighting off predators, beasts, and stopping civil wars on a planet. 🙂

The point is that the book specifically mentions multiple times by multiple people that Scourge has a lot of potential and he's noted to be a prodigy. The clear intention is that he can and does improve by a large amount between the novel and the game and suggesting otherwise is, frankly, incredibly disingenuous. Coupled with his biochemical upgrades and Vitiate amp he'd obviously more than make up the gap.
Are you an idiot? The point is that at the time of Revan, both Nyriss and Revan state that Scourge has enormous potential. Given that he has 300 years of fighting powerful opponents, honing his prodigious talent, keeping the Dark Council in line and preparing to backstab Vitiate, obviously he'd be able to improve by an enormous amount simply on his own potential. Add to that his biochemical augmentations and an amp from Vitiate and I think its probably that he surpassed Nyriss.
