Pre-Darkseid War is when Hal did his Krona buster, against a foe who was able to control his energy and siphon it off - and was ALSO immune to GL attacks.

The higher end ones, yeah. Hal, currently is far above Surfer, but he has had a ton of experience. Kyle is a beast of his own. Hal is like a Goku. 😉

That makes Gauntlet and his Energy form not applicable.

The Gauntlet is what initiated the change, and converted Hal into an will-based energy being... Though that change was obviously specific to Hal, which is also REALLY strange. I hope that aspect of the story gets fleshed-out a bit more.

Even Hal with the Gauntlet was pretty beastly.
