At the time Freeza destroyed the planet, Saiyans were, like, one step above Stone Age barbarians. It's quite doubtful that they even knew how to control their ki in a precise manner -- let alone that they had mastered complex techniques, like ki-lending. If that would've been an option, King Vegeta would have certainly rebelled against/destroyed Freeza.
Man, I remember back in the day how people talked about Broly being born with a PL of 10,000 gave him the greatest potential ever and such... Well Frieza ended up shitting on that even since it turns out he never had to train a day in his life till RoF and thus was born with his power level, and 530,000 was only his most suppressed form. Even the legendary super saiyan looks like a little b*tch compared to Frieza now in the long run.
