Captain Marvel vs Etrigan The Demon

I don't know anywhere near enough about Etrigan or Carol to chime in on the specifics of how these two match up, but some of the comments seem to seriously be underselling Carol. She seems to be functioning on a WAY higher level nowadays than she was back when Rogue absorbed her powers. She may not be the top female in Marvel, but even back in the day her durability was one or two steps up from her power output so I really don't see anyone other than a serious heavy hitter one shotting her or anything like that. I mean she has slugged it out with guys like Wonderman on more than 1 occasion. And that's not even counting the potential of her absorbing his blast to power herself up even further(assuming his blast fall into the category of something she can absorb of course, not sure what her limits are on that kind of thing).

She's had some upgrades since the Rogue days.

The Ms Marvel v2 series made that pretty apparent to.

Rogue had her powers for awhile and as Binary. Carol completely dismissed Rogue. She ends up losing her Binary powers and is still shown above by the fact her Warbird persona comes back (Different Universe Carol) and beats up Rogue. Carol as Ms Marvel defeats Warbird without any injuries and also Knocks her out leaving her with a burned face.

As Binary she should honestly be above Etrigan. He's only being hyped up because one feat where he sent a 220lb man to the moon with a haymaker. Carol tossed a meteor through space, and destroyed a meteor bigger than most states I'm aware of.

She also broke out of be bonded to the material Caps shield is made of.

Alot of her feats go unnoticed for some reason, it might be because she's not as popular as most powerhouses or people who like her don't really visit the battleforums.

No, it was a simple punch from a demon with near-Superman level strength, not a fancy magic punch. It's not like Etrigan's fist is made of magic or anything like that

He has also ripped out of Gamnanae who had absorbed all the magic from Earth and has actually forcibly bonded Spectre to a host and has actually taken attacks from Spectre himself.

Also she can't absorb magic. Etrigan would destroy her completely.

What's Diana's best strength feat? Regardless I always assumed strength doesn't mean much in a fight unless you get hold of your opponent.

I don't remember Gamnanae absorbing all the magic from Earth. I'm confident Zatanna and Manitou Raven were fighting him. I also don't remember Etrigan hurting her outside the use of Hellfire.

She can absorb magic, and Etrigan isn't fast enough I think, to do so.

Heat energy is her best source of absorption. She's struggled with magic, but thats against people whove bothered Strange

Exactly. Her only hope is to go Full Binary from the get-go and even then she's not guaranteed a win. He has CL100 physical stats (which she doesn't have unless she's in Binary form) plus his magic which she has no answer for.

I'd argue these are CL 100 feats.

I always assume Lobo is a Parody character like Wade or Squirrel Girl, who are at wherever they need to be in story. I haven't read much Lobo in all honesty so I don't have much of an opinion on the character.

Read JLA 75. It has Etrigan ripping out of Gemnanae.

Eh, Lobo is always a superman level character in strength. His feats are consistently at that level and Etrigan has fought him at least six times.
