Did you see the middle panel on the top row? This was a physical AND spiritual assault. What do you think Heaven's Light (or whatever that angel used) is?

I knew you didn't read comics, now I realize you don't even bother reading scans.

I read the scans. Thanos was restored.
Look at the chair. It was crystallized, it was boiling, etc. The chair was also restored between dimensions. So the interpretation of Thanos thoughts mean nothing.

If you take the scan as you are then you are saying that no one can damage Thanos permanently. That contradicts all the times Thanos being koed or killed.

Another h1 failure.

Well, he has a point.

The chair seems fine.

Also "spiritually" can be figurative. It doesn't mean that the dimensions literally and directly affected his spirit. Suffering and Pain can affect the spirit. That's why he said "taxing ".

And despite the damage Hulk withstands his pants still remain on. Does that mean his pants are as durable as the Hulk ? The wording makes it clear. This isn't up for debate.

And Quan, I think DS was being sarcastic 😄

All the times, like all the times it happened to Superman?

Hulks pants didn't get destroyed and magically restored. His pants just don't get damaged. So your analogy is off. Thanos wouldn't been able to restore himself. Otherwise he would have never been koed or killed or fell out from Odin.

That's a stretch longer than Dhalsims arms.

Different meanings.

Aaron Rogers landing a hail mary seconds before halftime taxed the spirit of the Giants.

It did not however, actually attack their soul.

No, the words are clear. Your inability to accept them is due to your own inherent bias.

The point is the clothes of the super heroes aren't as durable as the super heroes. It's called suspension of disbelief. The words are plain as day. Thanos would laugh this overrated attack off.

If the chair has the same resistance to all manner of attacks that people seem to think Thanos endured in that scan, then why didn't it 'reform' here?:

After all, that scene occurred in the very next issue under the same writer. mmm

I'll hazard a guess, and say that it's because people have been misinterpreting Thanos' feat for years.

It's basically his physical shape being changed as he passes from one dimension through the other (turned to glass, melted, deformed, shattered etc.) and staying true to himself/willpower showing.

I mean, I haven't seen anybody argue that Thanos, in the normal Universe, would have his body turned to glass, shattered, and then reform in seconds like nothing happened. At least, I hope no Thanos fan would ever argue that.

If Thanos have been hit by runner at that speed he will be broken too as his chair 😄
