Is Shannon Power biased against gay men?
Writing for the Star Observer on 19th August 2016, Shannon Power claims that she gets groped by gay men and then adds:
>>Also, this sort of stuff happens all the ****ing time to girls (and I’m sure guys) in gay clubs.
I have been groped, touched and accosted so many times over the years, that I almost expect it to happen every time I go out.
What a lot of guys say to me after they’ve groped me is: “it’s ok babe, I’m gay!”.<<
KMC won't let me post links, but her Star Observer article is:
"Gay men need to stop sexually assaulting women"
While it is absolutely certain that men in general grope/harass/molest women far more than vice versa, it's more than a bit stupid to claim that this still applies when talking about gay men only and women in general. As she does not make any reference to instances where women harass gay men, does that indicate that she condones it when they do? Such instances definitely occur more often than gay men groping women and to refrain from mentioning it in this context would imply that she has no problem with it.
Remember too that there are plenty of straight women who do not have religious fundamentalist, fascist or far left views who still treat gay men as if they are clowns or eunuchs or accessories. Would Shannon condone that behavior, too?
