KMC: Choose ONE Power TOURNAMENT - Part 2.

AKA

The Blair Wind Project 2: Book of Shadows.

While scrolling through KMC, you are suddenly approached by God Blair willing to grant you one super power. You are told that everyone who has ever been on KMC will be granted the same opportunity and you will all be transported to a battleground world. Only the victor of the KMC Tournament will be allowed to keep his/her power, everyone else will simply revert to being normal (even if they died, they will come back to life as they were before).

Rules:
[list=1][*] It must be low herald or below (ie: no green lantern ring, no power cosmic, no reality warping, no time). Pick something interesting that doesn't make you god.
[*]By choosing one power, you'll get all the passive powers it takes to make the first power work (ie: Superspeed won't kill you, you can breath shallow air fine while flying, etc).
[*] There will be other people who have super powers, but you cannot choose a power like Peter Petrelli's, Rogues, Mimics, etc
[*] You fight in a real world analogue and start where you live.
[*] You are each outfitted with a tracker (subdermal, irremovable, and if you're a telepath attached to your mental energy) that provides all other contestants with your location within a radius of 50 miles.
[*]After the extreme shenanigans perpetrated in part 1, the God of Tourneys has also decided to ban self-BFRs. That is to say, no Spotworld or Mirrorworld hiding. We fight like men!!!

No energy escapes from me. Not heat, sound, light, brainwaves, chi, nothing. There are other energies, of course, but for brevity, I have omitted them. But if I can absorb weird energies like magic,chi, psychic energy etc, it’s safe to say I will be able to absorb ‘normal’ types of energy.

I then teleport to the rough approximation of where you are (WHAA? Yeah, carver wasn’t the only one who could teleport). Here, Dr Light needed to know where Mia lived – but I am not going into your homes, only your cities, which can be easily done. Note, too, how easily I can teleport projectile weapons away from me.

Now, remember, I am still cloaked. You have no idea I am actually right next to you – only that I am in a rough 50 mile area. I can take my time, and suppress your powers, by messing with the energy in your brain. Here, Vulcan stops Cyclops’ eyeblasts, and Rachel’s telepathy (bonus mind-control):

Whilst some of my opponents can try to stay hidden, or phased, or shielded - this will ALL take energy to do so. Energy that they will eventually run out of, and they will tire. Whereas I can absorb energy from my surroundings, even from a distance (see later).

You COULD try phasing the entire earth, or the ground around me – but considering I have flight, and teleportation powers, localised phasing won’t hurt me, and global phasing would take time, training and effort – which you do not have the luxury of having.

Welcome to Abaddon!

And no I don’t mean the character from the tv series “Supernatural” but the mythological or holy reference to both an entity and location. I strongly encourage you to look up its origin because I am about to unleash unholy hell IN THY NAME! The take away for my message.
Abaddon means destruction.
Abaddon means extermination.
Abaddon means destroyer.
Step 1: Evolve
As a first step, I am going to fully embrace my meta human potential, quoting Mr. M “Some things do not die, they evolve”. I will shed my humanity, and allow my abilities to extend beyond my human limits. My body will become ethereal like, mind will expand allowing me to understand the complexity of matter/energy down its basic principles, and human senses will extend exponentially. We have seen this happen in a few instances (Dr. Manhattan, Captain Atom, Supergod etc…).
Step 2: Prepare
In my quest to bring Abaddon to this world, and to my opponents I will make the following preparations.

Step 3: Executing MY Plan
Picture this The world is set ablaze by nuclear fire. My army of clones are in space and in position. We are spread out around Earth’s orbit. A destructive field surrounds our with a radius of about 100 miles (that’s about half the size of Chicago), to be approached is to be ATOMIZED. And I carry a weapon, as dense as a neutron star that eats matter & energy. That's the premise.

Are you guys familiar with Wildstorms 666 event? The jist of if, is Superman Clones gathered on Earth’s orbit, and detonated at the same time, bringing about Earths destruction.

Minus the self-detonating part. I am in the position to do the exact same thing. I wield the power to set off nuclear blast with a handwave. My army will do so, simultaneously. I am pretty phucking sure, Earth will not survive with all things nuclear go off, followed by another nuclear bombardment. I am pretty phucking sure that whoever does survive will be drawn out, and come after me, and they are in for a world hurt. Regardless I will hunt them down, and fling my matter/energy eating bullet. The bullet is extremely lethal. The bullet is going to KILL you regardless if you are Nigh invulnerable or have Nigh Invincible due to the nature of its properties. It has the density of a Neutron star, and packed with quarks that will eat energy & matter.

Character name: Freezer Burn

Power: Temperature manipulation

Main Strategy: Create a 360 degree absolute zero cold field within a 50 miles radius, while constantly absorbing all heat in my area.

Let's get to it because Winter is Coming

Since we fight in a real world analogue and start where we live, I basically set up a trap in my North American city for any opponent who dares to target me. I am not running, nor am I hiding because I want them to track me within the specified tourney limit of 50 miles. Once an opponent come within 50 miles, my invisible absolute zero cold field will immediately stop them cold (yeah pun intended).

Everything within my city will be stuck in suspended animation b/c of absolute zero. However I will not have a cold barrier, instead it will be an absolute zero field which is invisible.

My absolute zero field completely stops molecules. And even slows down Flash level speedsters to the point where Captain Cold was able to engage them hand to hand, and trapped them in suspended animation or ice. And absolute zero doesn’t just freeze as Captain Cold explained, "I eliminate movement altogether. I stop atoms cold."

None of my opponents have Flash level speed and even if they did, an absolute zero field has captured and incapacitated Flashes numerous times.

So by now all my opponents should basically be a painting on my wall lol, but
if they are not incapacitated, I drained them of their heat leaving them stone cold dead. Firestorm, The Justice League ( including Superman, Wonder Woman, GLs, Flash, Aquaman), the Suicide Squad and so on have been trapped this way covered in ice and unable to break free.

So thats an energy manipulator and matter manipulator in Firestorm, numerous flying bricks with some temperature resistance, the king of DC seas who has resisted the frigid power of the Dead King, GLs who survived the deep coldness of space, a high end magic user, and Cyborg with an extreme environmental mode and others, all frozen solid and trapped. Plus everyone mentioned but Firestorm had the heat absorbed simultaneously, which doesn't leave much room for counters by my opponents, if any.

Amazo who can copy almost every power and has taken on the entire Justice League, frozen solid and unable to break free.

For H1a8: 2 week precog--There's no resources or tech to help him. He doesn't have the skills or genius level intellect to build anything to challenge me.. He will be frozen to death in our initial encounter, so a precog that dies in the future also dies in the present.

Now I am content with being the sovereign ruler of my city, but if I have to track those that didn’t come for me. to win this contest no problem. My absolute zero field moves with me acting just like a personal shield.

The Chilling Conclusion

An absolute zero cold field has stopped every power being used in this tourney. Using the zero field as a trap leave my opponents’ with very little chance of a successful counter. Absolute Zero stops molecules, atoms, and particles, plus I’m stealing my opponents’ heat leaving them lifeless. For those with shields, Firestorm’s shield and Power Ring’s aura were no matching for standard ice attacks.

It took 10 minutes for energy and matter manipulator Firestorm to break free. That’s way past enough time for a victory in this tourney, and that was a rookie Killer Frost not even going for the kill.

Finally all heat is mine. If I want my opponents’ heat, they can’t stop me from absorbing it. And there’s no limit to the amount I can take as evidence by the scan below of draining the sun. Also note that Firestorm’s strongest fusion blast had no effect.

I figured I could use all the elements found on earth naturally in/on earth. And only use the knowledge gained from high school chemistry and youtube/Wikipedia.

[list=1][*]My first step will be to go to the stratosphere as hydrogen gas and float until I come across another challenger. While in the stratosphere I will wait until the challenger shows themselves. They will be able to see that im within the 50 mile radius but will never know where I am; so I will wait for them to notice me in the radar make an attempt to use powers. I should be able to see them eventually from my high altitude. Upon the time I figure out who they are I will still wait even further until more challengers arrive. Whilst whatever challengers are fighting each other I will be bide my time to pick my opponent. Choosing the most powerful first I work my way down from most dangerous display of power to the least using acid in the lungs of the greater threats.

[*]No one will be able to realize why they are dying because all of a sudden their lungs are filled acid or poisonous gas. While attacking while they are already fighting further obfuscates my attack (they think they’ve gotten the upper hand but it was me debilitating the opponent or taking them out).

[*]This strategy I will use if they never meet up because it is still lethal. Also for final measure I want to leave cobalt salts in each opponent to poison them and ensure fatality.

[*]If the judges will not allow then i choose to float into the highest part of the atmosphere when an opponent reveals themselves as hydrogen gas and spear them from terminal velocity. I will be changing between diamond, cobalt, and other heavier elements during the drop. Hopefully during the dustup after the landing i will still be able to become gas again if the opponent is not taken out initially. If not i will revert to the lung attack mentioned earlier.

[*]If forced into a direct conflict i choose fight with cobalt body and blade arms. I plan to keep the blades brittle so they break off into the skin of my opponents. After a few strikes i retreat by magnesium flare to blind then dispersing as invisible gas.

DarkSaint: One of the sneakiest plans. Most well rounded capabilities, and the most mobile. Only one shown the capability to track his opponents.

I have to say, ID's opening move backfires on him. Detonates all the nukes and nuclear power plants in the world. What did DS put a good deal of his argument into? How he can absorb energy to boost himself. Well, ID just irradiated just about everywhere. Radiation for DS to draw on almost wherever he is. I don't think he could deal with ID's destructive field, but don't think he needs to, as his strategy revolves around waiting to strike at the right moment. He did however show he could deal with Supermutant's cold extremes, though he didn't go into detail for how he'd use "cold produces energy" to his advantage. He also showed he can mess with heads, but didn't establish what distance he could, so he may not be able to do it with ID's destructive field.

ID: Aggressive strategy, most potent offense, very well rounded. But opening move backfires on him.

ID's army of duplicates, I do agree he'll have some. An army? He merely showed he can make them. Can't see DS or Stax surviving the bullet or getting around the destruction field. I don't think though he can handle Supermutant's cold or get around it. Even going with what he showed for Gabriel and assuming he is using matter manipulation to amp his stats, I don't see him taking the cold field or ice. Not seeing him able to manipulate matter within Supermutant's cold field either. Or making nuclear explosions within(trying to detonate from the outside) as atoms are stopped. Nuclear blasts and his weapon outside the field? His cold field slows down to even stops Flash, I don't think they're going to work through it. Nor do I see him able to find DS, despite Doctor Manhattan reading atoms, when Doctor Light can hide from Superman's vision.

Supermutant: Simplest strategy, but extremely effective. Best defense, good warning system.

Offense: 7 Defense: 9 Overall Strategy: 9

Supermutant: He's just gonna wait around for everybody. Has the best defense, a city wide field that slows down to outright stops things. And while he doesn't have the most destructive offensive capability, but effective enough. Even if ID can take the ice shards, I didn't see anything that he could take an absolute zero blast. And while I don't see his surveillance capabilities spotting DS or Stax, he'll know if ID's coming.

Staxamillion: Sneaky, turning into air to breathe is even sneakier than DS's strategy. Did a nice job of showing versatility.

Offense: 6 Defense: 6 Overall Strategy: 5
Staxamillion: He was definitely sneaky, going as far as to turn into normal air only to turn into acid in his opponents' lungs. He might be able to kill DS with acid and poison(as neither of these would fall under energy), but maybe not with all the radiation to heal him. Plus, I don't see him getting the chance to attack, with DS being invisible and inaudible. But he's going to actively go after others, just hidden, and Stax didn't show anything that he could handle the cold field or destruction field.

So I see the battle going with ID detonating nukes and Supermutant making his field, DS soaking up the extra radiation around, Stax goes after either ID or Supermutant to end-up taken out by either field. DS is sneaking around while Supermutant and ID fight, Supermutant's cold prevails, and DS, being the only one shown capable of handling absolute zero(other than Supermutant of course) fights Supermutant. Whether DS is able to use mind ****ery or energy attacks or not(the cold field can stop energy and all), if it gets to DS has to go hand-to-hand, Winter's powers have DS's strength and healing amped and he'll absorb the kinetic energy from Supermutant's strikes and ice shards.

So my vote goes to DarkSaint.

regarding ds's post--again, vulcan to me is the absolute limit of energy manipulation and yet he has himself clearly performing feats well beyond what vulcan has been shown to do. in citing the fine skills and outer limits of complete control of nearly all the good energy manipulators out there, ds seems to me to have expressly SURPASSED all of them. none of the low herald manipulators he mentioned are capable of the collection of feats he has cited. he even went so far as to claim some level of matter manipulation....

so, that leaves stax and mutant. this wasn't easy. mutant decided to basically shield himself and hope everyone would stumble into his trap, but stax took a wait and see approach and floated above. it would seem to me stax would then be able to see from his vantage point that everything in the area of mutant (a full 50 mile radius...) would be frozen. since he is invisible and mutant isn't even trying to hide, that would seem to give stax an advantage here. but how would he enter the field area without freezing himself?

in the end i had to go on the extras that were thrown in and who i think had the most options or might simply outlast each other. mutant says he would keep absorbing heat from the area. but at absolute zero, there IS no heat in the area to absorb. i have to think that eventually he'd simply tire--he's still human, and when he did stax could swoop in and finish him. stax also had the advantage of mentioning some longer-game plans, and showed the ability to attack in other ways (coming from below, for example, byb drilling into the earth, causing earthquakes, etc....)

in the end, for reasons of versatility, my vote goes to staxamillion.

Id like to say all you guys did a bang up job and I honestly was rooting for everyone here.

But first...I'm a stickler for rules. And two things I took to heart I judging this match was using only one power and keeping the cap at low herald. So long as you abided by those I didn't judge you too harshly....Im also pretty big on things being backed up accurately by scans PLUS CONTEXT. Soooo if you posted a feat, Im gonna go to that story and find out key details to said feat from the story.

You are a powerhouse. I would've gave you a 10 but some of the stuff you posted was above Low Herald and I ignored it. Besides that you spent a considerable amount of time detailing what you could do, kudos. I like what you did with Klaw. It was a tactic I did not expect. I kinda wanted to throw it out because I felt you circumvented the one power rule. I let it ride.

DEFENSE: 10

Your bread/butter seems to be your ability to hide from opponents. Cowardly yes but effective nevertheless. I think you would be the hardest character to detect and I believe conventional means of putting you down would be easily repelled. You also can use many of your opponents strengths to amp/empower yourself.

Overall Strategy: 7

You kind of lost steam here. I didn't think your strategy was full proof. You'd maybe beat element lad (nothing against you stax I just feel elementals are beneath matter/energy manipulators in general) with your

OFFENSE 7:

Everything seems to rest on that Neutron bullet. And even though it was impressive, the character who created it had it turned against him and got wrecked. I could actually see the same thing happening to you.

Defense 10: Army of clones provide false leads for the other characters to chase. The nuke scenario wrecks havoc on the world which would most definitely draw out anyone who's hiding. Coupled with your clone superman suicide squad orbiting Earth you've got the best defense.

Overall Strategy 10: I love how you prepped for this. You weren't overly concerned with feats. You had a plan. From start to finish I felt your plot unfold. It did seem a bit convoluted at times especially once you got to space but I thought it was feasible given your powers and assistance.

Supermutant

Offense: 4

You really didnt/dont have an offense. It seemed to me like most of you guys had this hive mind mentality where you decided turtling was the best strategy. The absolute zero field is cool (pun intended) but you're dealing with matter/energy manips on a similar scale as you. Id hoped u wouldve thought more outside the box. A familiarity with iceman would have gave you the win here imo.

Defense: 7

Like i said ☝ up there. Turtling and praying someone stumbles into your trap seems to be a recurring theme. I gave you a 7 because i feel it's a decent enough defense. I just dont think itll protect you indefinitely. Which is what you seemed to be riding on.

Overall strategy: 4

Your strategy was a non strategy. Sit back and wait. Youd probably be the easiest to find since you're in a large city that just went to the ice age...so youd b targeted first. By like everyone. You're defense nor offense is good enough to protect against all your enemies

Started out good. I think u had something there with floating up to the stratosphere. Kinda became a one trick pony with the gas attack though. I feel like thats easily remedied against. God forbid someone put shields up or put on a gask mask. Your phucked.

Not bad. Floating around in a gaseous state i dont think youd be easily detected. I really dont see you putting up much of a fight should you get cornered though.

Overall strategy: 5

I believe you might have killed/beaten some of the other characters who werent manipulaters. But after repeated use your strategy would become transparent and head to head i cant see you beating most here.
