Miss America/America Girl, for some reason I'm sure I've seen her called both around here... the Ultimates girl.
Anyway, Illyana is always shown as being pretty powerful with her teleporting and interdimensional travel and dumping people in Limbo. She's hard for a lot of characters to fight. So I thought the Ultimates girl would be a good match up for her, since a lot of Magik's tricks wouldn't be so effective.
Is Miss America the more powerful teleporter? Can Illyana's magic counter America's strength and speed advantage?
Man that scene is just really cool.
But yeah that is the thing I was on about with her being much faster, and then on top of that she could KO Magik with one punch. Plus the scene a few issues later when she opens the portals in her own eyes whilst Monica flies at her at light speed.
As for the teleporting power, Ms America has basically displayed no limits to her power- she's teleported herself/others massive distances within the universe with no effort (Earth to Taa 2 etc), across the multiverse/into other dimensions etc.
The only time teleporting seemed hard for her was after repeatedly teleporting a spaceship through dimensions to eventually outside of reality itself within a really short space of time.

what makes you think she was going faster than c? because monica saw her moving still? that doesn't mean she was going faster, just fast enough to be seen methinks. there was still some dilation effect happening if she was slowed. lightspeed they would move equally, faster and monica would have commented chavez's movements were quicker than her own. /shrug
that aside, you're 100% right--chavez is far and away faster than illyana. even if she can only APPROACH light speed the gap in speed is huge, especially because we've seen not just straight line movement from miss a but also uber combat speed. and she appears to be damn near thor-level strong....
she's a monster.
illyana is no push over though and she has a few pretty good reaction feats to go on. still, miss a would tag her eventually and end it (illyana can't even use bfr here since miss a can come back from anywhere) unless illyana casts some spells. which she is fully capable of imo. i'm with basilisk here in wondering just what effects her magiks could have on ms. a. this is pretty close imo, and i THINK if i had to choose i'd actually side with magik. just more feats to go on and some really strong showings. magic is a tough counter for almost anyone. illyana is pretty underrated in most cases imo.
Speed aside...
Regarding who the more powerful teleported is.. Magik can teleport anywhere in the omniverse.
She brought back Legion who was banished outside existence itself.
Miss America's only way to win would be to blitz.
No way is she winning in Limbo. Magik's pretty much immortal and a reality warper in there.
Magik can shut down teleporters and seal Limbo and other dimensional gates too.

Her magic can affect a Phoenix Avatar and Silver Surfer couldn't undo her magic
I guess they're pretty equal on the teleporting front then, as Miss America is also an omniversal scale teleporter.
I'd still give it to America though, I just don't see Magik's magical power outside of Limbo being enough to put America down, or at least not faster than America can get a punch on Magik.

Why not? one port is all Magik needs.
She can cloak, turn invisible or intangible, she can tele dismember, send an army of demons who can mimic powers or possess her, she can mind wipe, soul manip, transmute, hell fire, pre cog, shields, auto shields, etc...
