Not really, considering how Revan -- whose power is inferior to Vitiate's -- managed to hold off his mental attacks for 300+ years.

It's more about willpower, not power.

Round 1: Vitiate.
Round 2: Not to sure.

Terrible thread, Vitiate rapes so hard.

If HoT can do it, Anakin can... and easily.

That doesn't disprove his claim. On the other hand yeah, any attempt by Vitiate to crush Anakin mentally could well result in him lashing out with greater power, nor would it take much to break his concentration.

Thats not relally what I'm talking about.
I'm referring to this:

Force users have instinctive subconcious/reflexive barriers vs mind attacks which depend on strength in the force(not neccesarily trained/actualized power). When facing someone with as much power as anakin, be it untapped(and even in actualized power, anakin is well above vitiate) or otherwise, logically the reactions described above would be pretty minor to what would happen compared to anakin's reflexive defenses

That only really applies to a certain part of someone subconscious, as stated by Luke I'm the JAT, IIRC.

Rarely, if ever, do we see someone sent flying or pushed back by via a failed mental intrusion.

OMG XD

Considering Pre-Suit Vader (Mustafar)'s unstable mind any attempt resembling Dün Möch could back fire. And back fire miserably. Or hilariously depending on how you look at it.

a. nothing in the quote suggests that,
b. True, it may be outdated
regardless if anakin has an involuntary reaction like say a force scream, that could end it

I know, but the whole "telepathically pushed while intruding in someone mind" originates from the Jedi Academy trilogy as a plot device used for Skywalker to find and recruit Jedi. Luke explained it as only a certain part in someone psyche while he was testing Leia's potential.

I see. Fair enough then

I mean, it's certainly possible. But when Vitiate TPed HoT, he opted to use illusions which HoT disspelled literally by fighting them. Mustafar Anakin can do the same.

This is actually completely incorrect.

Also, I'm gonna be THAT guy and roll with Vitiate in both rounds.

Round 1: Vitiate's telepathy would be enough
Round 2: Vitiate's FLS would be enough

During Act III? Those were illusions... I think. It's the only way to explain them.

It wasn't TP though.

Anakin would get ****ed by Vitiates TP. Mustafar Ani was breaking down mentally.

Nah. The mission codex states that Vitiate initially tried to mindfck the hero, but he was "too powerful" for the Emperor's domination to work, so he had to resort to conventional tactics to win, (conventional tactics being the illusions and what not).
