Darth Plagueis versus Yoda

Is Darth Plagueis powerful enough to defeat Yoda in single combat?

While he accepted that he and Plagueis were more than equal to the most powerful of the Jedi Order, he understood that they were no match for their combined strength—the Sith imperative notwithstanding.

Taken from Star Wars: Darth Plagueis

The above is perception of Palpatine but make of it what you want.

No.

Yoda wins, obviously.
But only after a great fight.

Sidious underestimated Yoda even as of TCW S6. He's opinion in this regard is irrelevant.

Sure. I'm not sure he'd manage it for a majority, though.

Yoda stomps.

Yup, plagueis<=tpm sidious<EoTPM sidious<<aotc sidious<rots sidious
A decade plus of growth is more than enough to put rots sidious out of plagueis' class. And yoda was a virtual equal

Yoda wins in a great fight.

Yoda takes this after a very good fight.

It's not that good of a fight, though yoda' morals will prevent ragdolling

Plagueis will give him hell, and depending on how he distances himself from a saber fight, he should take a minority at the very least.
