Yeah. Cage is impressive but I don't think he has what it takes to go against a high-end Asgardian like Heimdall.

Yeah, the conversation with Loki, during Thor, implied that he was among the very top tier of the Asgardians. Not to mention he is essentially the bouncer for the whole of Asgard.
Cage could probably take quite a few hits before going down. Diamondback himself had some serious striking power, and it took several blows before he really started to have an effect on Luke (and even then, Cage might have been feeling them, but he didn't seem particularly close to actually being knocked unconscious). Ultimately though, if Heimdall is at all like the other high-end Asgardians, it will take more than Luke can dish out to put him down.

And that's what I mean by implied power. Loki still asked him why it is that Odin didn't fear him. And Heimdall replied it was because he was sworn to obey. Not because Odin would tear his spine out through his ass. And Heimdall doesn't seem like the type to boast much. Also, Loki had been living in Asgard for around a 1000 years at that point, so he would have a pretty good idea of how powerful Heimdall is.

IIRC, he used just a dagger. And while it's not a H2H feat, it still showcases how formidable he is.

Should also be noted, that even a lowly Asgardian nigh-midget pleb is strong enough to break out of a jail cell and casually twist a tactical knife in his hand as if it were tinfoil.

It was a knife/short sword combo, from about the 0:20 mark. 😛
On a random note, that's a pretty sweet sword. The blade can expand from dagger to sword length as needed, as seen at the 0:30-31 mark.
Well, the low-tier Asgardian feats aren't really anything above what Luke can do. Luke smashed his way out of prison, after getting his powers, and was casually crumpling up gun barrels etc. at multiple points in his series, and even started trash compacting a steel dumpster by pushing down on it, when interrogating Turk Barrett to get info. But yeah, the conversation between Loki and Heimdall makes it clear that he is well above a normal Asgardian. Like I said, Loki had been around Asgard for about a 1000 years, so if he asked the Odin fear question, he likely believed there was some grounds for the question to have merit.
I don't think Sif is top tier. Which actually helps Heimdalls case, since he is obviously implied to be more powerful. But you remember the scene from Thor 2 where they are fighting in the Asian guys land and that guy and Sif are all engaged in battle and they are doing well, but not like super owning every single thing. Then Thor flies in and one shots the most powerful warrior there and ends the fight. Thor is a level above everyone else save for Odin and Heimdall, and I guess Loki, though not in the physical sense.
Even Sif is strong enough to move a car by kicking it.

Well, I wouldn't say Sif is top tier in Asgard, but I would definitely still put her and the Warriors Three above average Asgardians. The way I would put it is:
Top Tier:
Odin
Thor
Heimdall
Just below, but can still give the top tier problems if prepped and ready:
Loki (yes, I added him, even though he is technically a Frost Giant)
High tier, but not on par with the very best:
Lady Sif
Warriors Three
And then the average Asgardians after that.
