Malgus he was using a variation of form 5(I have no idea when this style was invented and I'm pretty sure it was djem so) which is practically geared towards one on ones while kit fistos although he's absurdly skilled with its usage has a form that is stated and believed to be weak in solo combat. Not to mention Malthus insane force prowess(kit himself has quite a bit but there's more variation then focus in my eyes)gives him absurd physical augmentation on his already absurd strength although kit is really fast I don't see him being able to break through Malgus it's a juggernaut against a commando.
