Old Avengers vs New Avengers

Old Avengers:
1. Ironman
2. Warmachine
3. Hulk
4. Thor
5. Captain America
6. Bucky
7. Black Widow
8. Hawkeye

New Avengers:
1. Vision
2. Scarlet Witch
3. Quicksilver
4. Antman
5. Falcon
6. Spiderman
7. Black Panther
8. Sharon Carter

Everyone is in standard gear, fight in an abandoned airport. Characters are not bloodlusted but are completely willing to kill their opponents (just like Cap has no qualms about knifing an enemy soldier in the back). Everybody gets earpieces so they can communicate with their team during the fight.

Round 1: teams know nothing about each other. Random encounter.
Round 2: teams know about the strengths/weaknesses/powers of everyone and get 30 mins. strategy time before the fight.

P.S.- if you're wondering how I divided between old and new members, old Avenger is any hero who made an appearance before the first Avengers movie, a new avenger is a hero who only appeared after the first Avenger movie. I didn't include Dr. Strange because he has not interacted with any of the other Avengers yet (other than a post credit scene).

The first team having Cap and coms to strategize is pretty damn useful. Despite that, Vision and Wanda are damn useful. Spidey could stomp Bucky, widow, and Hawkeye himself, and BP should be able to take Cap. If Wanda can hypnotize any of their heavy hitters they're doubly screwed. Vision is one hell of a powerhouse too. His only weakness so far seemed to be Wanda specific abilities, and I don't see any of them keeping him down. Team 2 takes the majority, but Cap strategically having them engage the right enemies could make it a near even split (6/10).

Thor or Hulk could probably solo, it's why they needed to be gone for Civil War.

There is a lot of versatility on Team 2 between Vision, Wanda, Antman, Black Panther, and Quicksilver. PIS off, couldn't AoU Quicksilver still be fast enough to almost insta-kill Cap, Bucky, Widow, and Hawkeye by grabbing one of Bucky's weapons/Hawkeye's arrows and shooting/stabbing all of the 4 mentioned above?

Thor and Hulk are the biggest threats, just depends if Vision can take them out or if the two of them are too much for the New Avengers.

Don't ignore IM and Warmachine. They are also pretty decent heavy hitters with some good destructive capabilities.

That's true, if IM and War Machine are flying and raining missiles, minigun fire, energy blasts, etc. down on Team 2, Sharon and Scarlet Witch could go down very quickly.

How would Iron Man and WM fair against Falcon, Spider-Man, and Falcon? Vision would be too much for either Iron Man or WM, but I'm guessing he'll be busy for the majority of the fight against Hulk and Thor.

The fight really depends on how the glass cannons of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver do against the other team as well as who Vision targets/who targets Vision.

Also, add Antman to that last sentence. If he goes unnoticed, he could do crazy stuff ranging from jumping in Hulk's ear or just blowing up Hawkeye's arrows in his quiver.

Hulk and Thor wreck team 2. Like was said they were kept out of Civil War for a reason.

I'm expecting both to get power increases in the upcoming films as the Iron Man pandering seems to be winding down finally.

Well yeah but I'm assuming Vision will be preoccupied with Thor. Which means IM and Warmachine will probably be busy with the likes of Wanda, Quicksilver, Antman or Spidey.

Seeing as Thor is more powerful, skilled and has far more attack options. how does that make sense?

Yeah plus assuming they are airborne, QS can't blitz them.

And Thor can hold off Hulk and Hulk was unable to knock Thor out. Watch Avengers movie.
