I was about to say the same exact thing (about Echo). That young girl gave Matt a beating, and yet her only real level of ability was the gift of seeing something done and being able to copy it (if I remember the graphic novel I have, shed even watch videos of Bruce Lee and other fighters and instantly pick up their skills). Echo was, in many ways, a Cassandra clone ....and she really gave Matt a hard time.
Now, Cassandra is better than Echo? How?
Echo's main ability was her feel for seeing something and being able to replicate it. Cassandra can do that (for example when she immediately picked up secret ninja techniques from the Shadow Thief simply by seeing him do them ...something that was quite disorienting to the bad guy). That is exactly what Echo can do.
However, Cassie has one better ...she has also been trained since basically birth by the very best. This, her training is not just from 'seeing' videos and stuff, but is actually primarily from 'learning' from the very best.
Looking at the fight Matt had with Echo simply shows he'd have a far more difficult time with Cassandra.
