Not sure what physical beasts can do to a guy who fly's around the Galaxy drilling holes in planets, and can go intangible.

Also, didnt Surfer do something to Doom when he blasted him, more than just a physical attack, as he was trapped in his armor beforehand, then afterwards he was able to walk around without it.
