Yes, yes. Conventional is something describing that is generally normal or typical, an accepted standard, ordinary. Superweapons are not normal or typical in everyday things.

Valkorion gets killed by a saber strike in KotFE, or even a blaster bolt. He's nowhere near invincible, especially not without his Force defenses active. But even with them being active, there's no reason to believe that he can repel planet-destroying blasts. 😂

And regarding the above, even if Valkorion's opinion was credible, most of these superweapons weren't even around in his time. His claim doesn't prohibit their success whatsoever.
