In his defense, speed is [generally] inconsequential when it comes to the power of the punch as far as comics are concerned, and it's more a matter of how much they can bench press.

Between training Batman, Supes, catwoman, Black Canary, and every god damn member of the largest team DC modern time line has (JSA) and still having time to fight his own battles and have his own adventures as well as serve in the JSA ????? Maybe he should just forgo sleep completely.
