Is it possible that it was referring to him possessing Ziost's population and drawing strength from them rather than feeding on the nexus itself?

What's the difference between a planet being a stronger dark side nexus and all the individuals on that planet having a greater net connection to the dark side of the Force?

He needed to feed on a population to regain the ability to drain a planet hence why he didn't just drain Ziost instantly.

Looks like Ziost's a more potent Force nexus than Yavin 4.

Conflict was a source of food to him because it would lead to deaths and Tenebrae could feed on those deaths to recover his strength.

The man now called Vitiate by those who once served him was not strong enough to usurp all life on Yavin 4 after his reawakening. And when it does end, what fate will befall the rest of the galaxy?

Understand the meaning of word replenish?

Ziost was one of the major population bases of the Empire. It was an ideal destination to convert into source of feeding.

If you ask me, the (Vitiate-induced) hate plague in the air on Ziost was pretty damn strong, though.

But he was evidently strong enough to possess Ziost.

As in, doing the same to Yavin 4 to replenish himself (and he wasn't strong enough).

It is so like KMC to take a perfectly good quote and stand against any use it has for measuring power.

He wasn't strong enough to drain the life from Yavin IV and apparently it didn't have the population necessary to empower him to that point.

Actually, why was Ziost a more suitable target than Dromund Kaas?

Because they wanted a new map.

Drumond kaas is too game relevant.
