You mean, the guy Sidious considered to be a disappointment and failure against the guy the same Sidious considered to be a exemplary warrior with unduplicated battlefield feats and actually featuring him in the book that was meant to contain the main tenets of his rule? 😆

contending with a dude who roflstomps malgus on a place implied to boost ds abilities should suffice
Vader so roflstomps that Sidious gave him Malgus' journal to inspire the Sith three years after the events of Mustafar. One must wonder why he didn't inspire Vader with the tales of the godly Maul but preferred some dude that lived 3,600 years before just for the lulz. 😮

So Vader thought Malgus was impressive? That's nice, but he said the same thing about ESB Luke so I'm not sure how much that'll help.
There's a big difference in considering someone standing five feet from you to be "impressive" and using some legendary figure from 3,600 years ago as inspiration. Especially considering Sidious' praise of Malgus was atemporal and based on a scholarly compilation meant to guide Sidious rulership.

Sadly for you, Sidious considers Malgus' battlefield feats to be superior than Maul's. Sadly, he also considered Maul to be a disappointment, while he considered Malgus to be an exemplary warrior, the one who, you know, featured alongside Plagueis and Bane in a book that was meant to guide Sidious in his rule, and the only one who was featured solely due his capacity as a warrior.
Er.. when did sids ever send maul on the battlefield? 😬
And yea he considered Maul a disappointment because maul had potential to rival sids, potential malgus never had and never came even close to.
And yea, the fact that Bane and Plagueis are placed alongsode each other should tell how meaingless being "placed alongside" those two is. Not that Bane is above maul anyway.
Still posting irrelevant crap. but keep at it.

What happened on Tatooine and during the entire Clone Wars if not Maul fighting people around? o_O
He still considered Vader to be a worthy apprentice despite never reaching his full potential. 😕
Lmao. The Book of Sith features particular contribution of Sith in several fields that Sidious considered important to base his rule on. Plagueis was featured due his ability and achievements at studying the Force. Bane was featured due his philosophycal insight that lead to the Rule of Two. Talzin was a featured due her knowledge of Nightsister Magic that Sidious considered intriguing. Malgus was featured due his capabilities as a warrior.
Basically, every field covered on the BoS featured the greatest of their fields, barring Sidious.
