If you were superman why would you live off donatio s?? A little xray vision of a part of earth not owned by anyone that has some minerals of worth like gold and you dig it up. Even easier grap some coal and turn it into diamonds in seconds.
As for the o e nation thi g you'd end up causing a lat of death as those with nationalist tendancies rebelled against your dictatorial ways. As Digi said there is no way anyone can control the masses in a way they would accept.
Id take the powers of a mystic (Dr Fate or Strange) conjure what ever I needed to support myself and then nudge political heads of state to act in the worldsbest interest (making sure they knew what ramifications of their decisions were but ultimately leaving them to make the final decision. Thats what's actually best for all.
Just to elaborate on the above. There needs to be another side of the coin for the good to have meaning. Without bad things hiw dk we feel joy or appreciate what is worth appreciation. We dont. Mankind has to have the possibility of doing it wrong to appreciate the results of doing it right. If the decision is made for them then theres no worth in it.

He also innocently scans then replicates every item a nearby man has on his person including a working lighter, gift, exact currency (and presumably id cards) and working watch, all things his culture seemingly has done away with long ago so he has no previous experience with them.

id make a lot of money as an artist and inventor and use the money
after while id probably use most of my profits to better the world by throwing money because that's really the only thing people caring/moving
in the real world without supervillains I wouldn't feel compelled to be a hero outright because military and government reasons and I don't necessarily feel my morality should be imposed and no one should know I have this power so they wont be asking.

I have seen that actually.
There are at least two takes on Surfers powers. One is that he has a silver coat on top of his body and the other one is that he is actually made out of silver with out any human organs but just a mass of silver pretty much like the t1000.
But yeah by the scans you posted he will be able to creates a fully functioning sexual organ or just take out his silver coating and be zenn lanian again.
