Oh geez.. The poor kid. Proper feel his Mother who got the text only to find out he had in fact been killed by the bear.

see, i always tell people black bears can sometimes hunt and kill people but nobody believes me. "oh you just have to watch out for a mother with cubs" is always the horseshit i'm met with.

i'll bet anything he stalked him as opposed to just being surprised. spread the word. these guys aint nothin to **** with so watch your back.

Yeah I'm guessing it was something like that given he was able to text his Mum.

Not only that, but most people don't realize bears can move incredibly quick.

I've seen the mess a polar bear did to a kid sleeping in a tent. It was not a pretty sight. Horrific infact

Oh, I know how bears could be, we have tons of black bears around here. A neighbor recenty sent video of one rooting through her porch outside.

Black bear stalked a woman for about five miles. Didn't hurt her, but with that kind of behavior, they had to catch and put it down.

Obviously, you can't escape a bear up a tree, but they also say playing dead on a black bear won't work..
