Well if they gave the charactors the talent in the movie that they have in the comics it woud match up just fine. But considering that cyclops cant get his blasts right and Jean was an amatuer with her powers and they make wolvy out to be a caknuckle head street brawler with claws. It appear that Kurt is the onlyone who has mastered his powers.
Plus the timeline would be off. Rogue wsn't part of the group back whne Pheonix saga took place was she?
Though I thik they should do it. They need beast and colosus. you can't do a fastball special with Scott doing the throwing. Especially with Marsden looking like such a frigin WHIMP.
Should Rogue get her powers for X3
Should Rogue get her powers to fly and superhuman strength in X3 or just keep her as she is now?
I like how she has her powers from the cartoon.

Magneto: Something's different, today...
[Holds up a hand, and the guard freezes]
Magneto: Too much iron in your blood!
[He then sucks all the iron out of the guard's blood, turns them into iron balls]
Magneto: Mr. Laurio, never trust a beautiful woman; especially one who's interested in you.
I think Rogue would need to fight Ms Marvel so she can absorb her powers to fly and to have superhuman strength in X3 just like in the cartoon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pyro: They say you're the bad guy.
Magneto: Is that what they say?
Pyro: That's a dorky looking helmet.
Magneto: That "dorky looking helmet" is the only thing protecting me from the real bad guys.
I don't want to see rogue flying around all over the place but the super strength would be cool, especially against the sentinals. Who said she needs to take Ms Marvels powers though. Maybe in the movie if the sentinals attack she could get knocked out and land on some other mutant who got knocked out who just happens to have super strength. Then the power could transfer without anyone realising. Just a thought....
I think it would make sense if Rogue kills and taking revenge on Magneto for making fun of her like he did on the first 2 films.
Another idea is if Magneto was injured in a battle and is taken to the X-men Mansion where he thinks he is going to die tells Pro X that Rogue should take his powers. It would be dangerious to absorb Magneto's memories, but the brave girl touches him taking his powers and kills him. "You know it's the only way Charles",were his last words meaning that Rogue was the only one to defeat the Dark Pheonix.
There can be a battle between Rogue and Dark Pheonix and she absorbs her powers saving Jean and the world. The powers of Magneto and Pheonix are too much and Rogue flies away which Pro X have troubles locating her.

[At the Statue of Liberty.]
Magneto: Magnificent, isn't she?
Rogue: I've seen it.
Magneto: I first saw her in 1949. America was going to be the land of tolerance. Peace.
Rogue: Are you going to kill me?
Magneto: Yes.
Rogue: Why?
Magneto: Because there is no land of tolerance. There is no peace. Not here, or anywhere else.
~Ok, with the whole Rogue and Ice Cube Boy situation..... I think for now that it is ok. Rogue needs a boyfriend. But I think that the whole original comic series did a better job with the couplings. Not that I am trying to bash the movie(s), I happen to like them, but what would be better is that Ice Cube Boy should break up with Rogue and still want to be close as friends. And then the Cajun Boy befriend Rogue in the next movie, and then become more than that.~ ~Well, that is all for now. But I have to admit that I was dissapointed that they didn't have the Cajun and Angel Boys in either movie. The producers should add them in the next movie. And for all you Legolas fans, I think that Angel might be played well by Legolas. I guess that you will never know untill you try.~ 🙂 😎 😉 😛 😄 🙄 🙂 And I am not going to lie to you guys. I am a Gambit and Rogue fan.
