No they could give her the others powers it would just have to be through either a secondary mutation-because of magneto's machine.Or something to do with her absorbing the phoenix,after all jean didn't get her powers the comic way either.I think anna looks alright as rogue,it's just that in the movies she's younger than the comic rogue and doesn't have that maturity about her that the comic one does,hopefully in x-3 she will look and act more like the rogue we all know and love.

Marie D'Ancanto was a name she took in the movie (though it could have just been what she called herself). In the comics, Marie was a human who is now at the Xavier Institute and Rogue goes by the name Anna (as in Paquin) Raven (as in Mystique). When she went back to her hometown her aunt called her Anna Marie. That's probably her name. Also, Rogue and Storm were NEVER the same age. They may have appeared that way in the animated series, but in the comics, Rogue was seventeen when she joined the team and Storm was in her mid twenties. Storm is about seven years older than Rogue. And in evo, Rogue is a junior in high school, as well as kurt, spike and kitty were freshmen, and jean and scott were seniors.
now that we've got that cleared up, rogue should totally get with gambit in X-3. Right now, she's not aggressive enough. Singer himself said that he based the movie Rogue on a mixture of the original rogue, kitty, and jubilee. Maybe she'll be a full blown x-gal in the 3rd movie. As much as i want her with gambit, she probably won't end up with him because movie fans would be pissed off that she left iceman. But if they do get a gambit, here's hoping it's a hotty like Orlando Bloom, Josh Duhamel, or Jake Gallenhyl 💃
P.S. somebody asked what Rogue is doing in that green outfit where she "looks like an elf" That's her original costume that she took up again in the late 90's and it happens to be my favorite 😉
