Tarantino Film about Charles Manson

Uh, yes please...

Plot unknown. The film will focus on the Manson murders that happened in California in 1969.

Untitled Quentin Tarantino Project

Tarantino is currently finishing up the script, and that Jennifer Lawrence and Brad Pitt have already been approached. Neither actor, however, is involved in any official capacity at this time.

[quote]“Script details are fuzzy but one of the story’s centers is on Sharon Tate, the actress and wife of director Roman Polanski who was murdered by Manson and his followers in 1969.”

The project is soon being shopped to studios to co-finance and co-distribute.

The shoot could begin as early as Summer 2018.

I think it'll be interesting just going by the subject matter and it being Tarantino.

I'm in

Sounds awesome.

I've read Helter Skelter and this sounds quite intriguing.

I'm down

Tarantino should get Ralph Fiennes to play Manson

That's not bad casting

Can't Tarantino pretty much do what he wants? I'd like to see him find some more lesser-knowns.

I can see him glamourising a lot of the killings & upsetting families in real life.

Do we really need to see this?

I mean it's one thing having like a biographical account from a director like Oliver Stone but Tarantino's just going to cash in on the wanton violence of this tragedy.

Nah, he'll probably turn it into another over-the-top revenge story, like he did with Nazis and with American slavery. lol.

Hell even a story where Manson takes over the prison & turns the prisoners into a cult following would be more his style & entertaining.

Al Pacino. Damn. The cast is sounding really good for this...

I think I'll be showing up to the teatro for this one.

Also, the synopsis is much more interesting to me than Tarantino doing a straight semi-biographical film about the Manson family murders.

Yeah, with Tarantino you have to expect a bit more than a simple biography. And yeah, I think it'll be hard to resist a trip to the theater for this. We don't get new Tarantino films every year.

Sucks that Burt Reynolds died and he didn't film any the scenes he was slated for.

looks interesting, wanna see a trailer though

Thanks, Imp, for changing the title of the thread. 👆
