I'm trying to dig into movie going demographics, to try and understand where the sjw type pandering comes from., and I've hit a snag.
This claims movie goers are more likely to be non white. Yet is also claims whites bought 51% of movie tickets.
51% is more then 49% (Presumably, all minorities combined make up that 49%), isn't it? So how does that figure?

I don't understand the point you're trying to make nor do I understand your question for clarification at the end.
One thing I noticed that was terrible about that data was the split. Not all age groups are slit but the same number of years which makes this data automatically trash. You cannot make age comparisons like this unless you're comparing the same size of age segments.
Keep it 5 year splits, 10 years splits. But don't mix and match.

The part about "moviegoers are typically likely to be..."
Was confused how they could be non white, if whites still account for more ticket sales.
But I think they're talking typical moviegoer profile, and not who's buying more
tickets overall. I see they claim certain demographics go to movies 6X or more, compared to whites 1-2X.
It makes sense to try and focus on people who go, I guess. That's why women are more of a focus then they used to be, because they go more then men.
