Lol well it kinda seems like your friend does not actually know what a libertarian is if he repeated the things you said and wasn't joking.

He may have identified as one but...then again, some of the people who are whining over any speech they don't like would surely tell you they were liberals, despite the fact such whining and trying to prevent speech is the opposite of what an actual liberal would do.

Well I mean there are varying ways you can interpret some issues on the basis of libertarian or classical liberal principles.

Take abortion for example, you can get the libertarian or classical liberal argument to get the government out of that shit, and then you can get the other argument that such a thing violates the fetus's right to life so the government should get involved in that shit.
