Lets hope the snowflakes don't win here.

so this was the rational for mural with the dead Native American laying at washingtons feet.

"He included those images not to glorify Washington, but rather to provoke a nuanced evaluation of his legacy. The scene with the dead Native American, for instance, calls attention to the price of 'manifest destiny.' "

Would it be ok to have a painting in our kids schools depicting a dead American soldier laying at the feet of a terrorists?

Not to glorify killing American soldiers of course, but to provoke nuanced conversations about America's involvement in foreign affairs and the price of said involvement. Would that be ok too?

If someome in the military had a problem with their kid seeing a mural like that everyday. With one of their fellow soldiers dead at their enemies feet while they're just sitting around. Would they be a snowflake too?

How would that be any different than what its like for a Native American kid everyday there?

Should they have conversations about these things? Absolutely.

Do they have to be reminded of their ancestors being slaughtered everyday, everytime they walk down that hall? I dont see why they should have to.

I doubt the story was read, only the headline of "High School Mulls Removing George Washington Murals Because They 'Traumatize' Students" which makes it seem like people have a problem with the pictures being of George Washington and nothing else and this is what they're reacting to, not the the actual meat of the story.

Of course not, I'm sure Surt will be here any second to explain his thoughts and counters to your concise points in a rational manner. Cos he surely read the story and didn't just kneejerk to the headline. Surely.
