You know the Walrus and Carpenter from Disney's Alice and Wonderland? That's one of my favorite scenes, with the conniving fat chain smoker Walrus (Who smokes UNDERWATER) putting one over on everyone.
Well, I looked into the source material, and what I found was interesting:
In the original poem, the Walrus is RICH. He represents the upper crust crying his crocodile tears for the common man (The oysters, whom he eats.)
The Disney version took some liberties, transforming the wealthy character into a fat, lazy layabout, who refuses to work.
This is not an insignificant change. It changes the entire theme, from a warning against the upper classes, to a warning against common man sloth.
Interesting bit of propaganda altering, indeed. I think I prefer the original message, but can understand why industrialists in charge of Disney would not.
NYT bans reporters from partisan cable news shows like Rachel Maddow's, Don Lemon's
Yikes...could this be the NYT showing some journalistic integrity?

Meanwhile we're seeing hypocrisy from some in hollywood over Georgia and abortion. If people don't know: a lot of stuff is filmed, etc. It's the third largest film production state in the country.
So they threaten to not shoot in Georgia because of the abortion bill. The hypocrisy comes from some who have no qualms filming in other countries with similar restrictions. Netflix came out and threatened to pull out of Georgia, but they also film shows in Jordan an Egypt lol. Both which have restrictions, in Jordan you can't get an abortion unless it is life threatening.
Sophie Turner has filmed stuff for Game of Thrones in Northern Ireland, guess what their abortion laws are? And guess if she decided to sign a petition pledging to boycott pro life states? (she did). Her response to the hypocrisy? "There was a lot of work of 'Game Of Thrones' there, so luckily we're moving on,"
Disney might get in on it too. Lol, guess where parts of the live action Aladdin movie were filmed?! Jordan. Consistency, thy name is virtue signaling hollywood lefties.

Dude, calm down. Look how worked up you're getting.
But probably because people generally care what happens more in their own country or a country they've adopted as their own than in another they don't have close ties with.
Also, I'm skeptical, but I do hope Georgia loses enough entertainment industry tax dollars that they rethink their decision to try and control women's bodies. Just awful what these people are doing in regards to women's rights.

This is the type of hypocrisy that makes one question whether these sorts of stands are based on principles (Which I can respect), or political/economic expediency (Which I can not.)

It's virtue signaling. If they truly cared they wouldn't film in any country that is restrictive to abortion. They lack the courage of their convictions.
And all this truly does is punish tons of hard working people in Georgia who had nothing to do with this decision lol. All in the name of virtue signaling.

Because what I said was true, people pick and choose what matters to them all the time. eg I care more about US laws restricting people than I do of Iran's, because I live here; not Iran.
As far as the entertainment industry reacting to Georgia's decision, that's their right, no?
