Neither have you. What I said was correct though, even if you move to Japan (you won't) and try your hardest, you'll always be seen as an outsider/foreigner, at best a novelty.

edit: I have friends who moved to Japan a few years ago and made a home for themselves there, it's also a country I've always wanted to visit and now I have greater incentive, so I'll send you a postcard if I ever make the trip

lol yes I'm sure you just chose not to read it rather than admit you have nothing to say back.

Again, Robtard, undisciplined people like yourself with no principles or shame are not welcome in Japan and will be treated like outsiders.

99% of Japanese hidden social rules have always come natural to me.

Also I'm already a "foreigner" living in USA so that part won't change no matter where I go lol. I don't care and ***** and complain and play identity politics over it though.

Hey, their manga is better then many comics these days.

You'd probably especially like Baki the Grappler, the artist has an obvious looking George W. Bush and Donald Trump get punked by the main characters, and seems obsessed with Civil Rights era America and Mohammad Ali.

Baki’s The shit.

You should also look into Hajime No Ippo, one of the best long running boxing manga out there.

I personally am a fan of the disturbing Mangas from Junji Ito.
I enjoy his macabre art style, for it is both beautiful and incredibly terrifying.

I think the taliban enjoyed destroying historic works of art too. Nazis as well.

Then you should look into Berserk, and the Vampire Hunter D light novels.

D is a damn near omnipotent god in those stories.

Mary Jo Kopechne died 50 years ago today. RIP.

Death Note for the horrifying death gods.

And Hokuto No Ken, just because everyone should read it once. It's not the style he's looking for, but the characters do have an over the top charm, in some cases Mad Max like characters arms being bigger then Kenshiro's entire body.

Glance behind the curtain of the military industrial complex?

First thread, starting with a man claiming to be a retired USN, retired at Aviation Ordnaceman (1967-1984). The topic is whether the president can visit "secret military bases." He argues that, yes, he can, but that he'd only be told what he "needs to know".

When others argued against this, he persisted, all but outright insisting you lie right to his face if you need to, because how would he know any different? Furthermore, he claimed anyone that said too much, would end up in military prisons.. Regardless of whether the president had the authority on paper to demand things he didn't strictly "need to know".

Of course, scholars of law argued against him, As did other higher ranking former military.

That does not make what he said, untrue. If the "black bag" types did lie, who would call them on it? Certainly not a president asking for information he does not have.

The guy could be a crackpot and a liar, of course.

So much for being "Commander in Chief".

these are the kind of things Eisenhower warned us about decades ago.

"As NPR's Tom Bowman tells Morning Edition co-host Renee Montagne, Eisenhower used the speech to warn about "the immense military establishment" that had joined with "a large arms industry."

"Another concern, Bowman says, was the possibility that as the military and the arms industry gained power, they would be a threat to democracy, with civilians losing control of the military-industrial complex."

https://www.npr.org/2011/01/17/132942244/ikes-warning-of-military-expansion-50-years-later

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist." -Eisenhower

"We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."-Eisenhower

Eisenhower did warn us, but then again he also helped create it.

Oh I like Berserk. But nothing compares to Uzumaki in terms of sheer brutality and unescapable horror.
