On a more realistic note, I'd remind you that Tesla (the man not the company) predicted women would become the dominant sex in the future, and I see this happening. If you were honest with yourself I think you'd see it as well.
Hegemonic masculinity is pretty much eradicated in all developed countries, but now we're seeing a devaluation of the traits that have traditionally been associated with masculine personalities like physical strength, spatial intelligence, non-conformity, privateness, rule consciousness, emotional stoicism, etc.
Large companies seek out those with feminine personalities (regardless of their physical sex) when hiring employees. Tech firms, for example, need people who will easily work together without ulterior motives, who will conform socially, who are easy to socialize with, etc.
I don't think it is a coincidence that automation is eliminating industries that have traditionally been male-dominated. Truck-driving (95% male), Warehouse workers, construction, etc. Meanwhile jobs that have primarily been women-dominated aren't so much at risk--even the ones with few education requirements: day-care worker, healthcare jobs, etc.
Again I have to stress here that I'm concerned with masculine and feminine personalities not simply whether one is physically F or M.
Those who are not 'social butterflies' will find their existence to be more and more worthless as traditional alternatives to working for large corporations like starting a non-service based small business becomes non-viable in a globalized economy; and as automation takes away the 'skilled' professions or those jobs that don't heavily rely on social skills/personality types.
Also it is not a coincidence that men are becoming the new minority at colleges (https://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2017/08/why-men-are-the-new-college-minority/536103/) with enrollment numbers favoring women, more men dropping out than ever before, etc. Could this be because masculine types do not cope well in the feminized social environment that is college? Where the major does not determine what job you'll get but rather who you know?
