In regards to circumcision. while I'm personally against it, outright banning it isn't so clear and cut (get it), as it falls under "religious freedom", at least when it comes to Jews and Muslims.
Their reasoning there is a little silly though, at least on the surface, even if there's a measure of truth in how White Supremacist, The Alt/Far-Right would have acted on social media and such if Iceland did ban circumcisions. The ADL still should have used the religious freedom angle foremost in their argument.
What's interesting is that you can't seem to dissect what they're saying, even if it is far fetched in part. They're not saying Iceland would be a Nazi country if they banned circumcision, they're saying that White Supremacist, The Alt/Far-Right would run with that and push that narrative, which is likely true, knowing Nazis and their shenanigans.
Now what kind of fallout (if any) would Iceland have from that? I don't know.

They noted on two separate occasions that Iceland banning circumcision has nothing to do with being anti-Semitic or pro-Nazi.
What Iceland should do, ban circumcision and allow it only for religious or severe medical reasons.
