Gets robbed. Able to detain burglar with his gun. Calls the police, makes sure to show them his gun and ejects the clip. Still gets beat up and charged for obstructing an investigation.
Lol, ****ing spineless pigs.

Oh good point, if only there was a centralized database that can be used to verify people’s identity that police have access to. Maybe to check if he was the owner as he claimed? You know, maybe ask for the identification, verify identity, and de-escalate the situation?
He called them. Before he opened the door to them in, he showed them that he was armed. He then ejected the clip. The gun wasn’t a threat. They knew it wasn’t a threat. That’s why they walked in and their weapons weren’t drawn.
I am looking at it from their perspective. There was zero reason for that to go down the way it did.

Ejecting the clip doesn't make a gun harmless.
A friend found this out the hard way, when he was so excited about getting his gun license, removed the clip, and handed it to a friend who pulled the trigger. Followed by a visit from law enforcement.
The police didn't even know the full details of why they were there, the operator probably just told them to investigate a robbery.
When a police officer tells you to do something, you really shouldn't be arguing regardless. Drop the damned gun, if they say to drop it.

I really think that, bigotry aside, the whole issue is still confusing af because of language
Agreed. There's really nothing controversial about Rowling's position and she's definitely a feminist (second gen) so she's not cool with the de-womanizing and dilution of what it means to be a woman. I've seen multiple feminists get super buttmad over the "people" stuff related to women's issues. Don't call women's issues "people" issues to old school feminists. It's like telling someone with gender fluid that their gender fluidity is a mental illness and it is just attention seeking: the army of REEEEES will unite, swiftly.
I find myself not ever getting involved in these arguments because I'm a man (this seems non sequitur but it's not - biological male, gender man, no dysphoria, and I'm happy to be a man). If one of my female friends wants to become a man, transitions, she's now one of my bros and we will do bro things if he's up for it.
I've only had 2 friends like this. Both F2M. One of them couldn't shutup about it - literally everything was all about them being F2M, I couldn't stand it, so stopped talking to and hanging out with him. The other one is cool AF and nothing changed except she became he. Simple.

Saw that vid last night.
I hate it. They charged him with obstruction, too...BS charge. Those cops should be in prison. Everyone involved from that PD should be in prison.

This is getting out of control, the alt left has too much power in this country:
UCLA professor on leave after refusing to cancel final exam following George Floyd's death
There was nothing wrong with the email he sent, but racist progressive students disagreed:
Quite an awful situation. He raised valid points and they couldn't address them so they want him fired.

What a great set of questions. I had not considered some of those angles, before.
Every student that complained about his response should be expelled. Students like those aim to destroy the academic integrity of UCLA by diluting or destroying the point of getting an education harming their fellow students who may or may not be paying for the education.
John Oliver's Anti-Cop Lies DEBUNKED!
Not the first time Crowder has slapped down Oliver. Nor will it be the last.
The discussion starts around 16 minutes in
UCLA professor suspended, under police protection after threats
This is quite ridiculous. This guy did nothing wrong. The students who made the request should be expelled and all public funding removed from UCLA.*
Speaking of UCLA there is another professor there snowflakes want fired. His crime? He read out loud a letter MLK jr. wrote while in jail in Birmingham. It contained the use of the "N" word. You can guess what happened next.
*Kudos to the usual suspects here for not trying to defend the actions of the school. Wise choice you're learning 🙂
