The problem hating most nations is cultural bias, most regimes where religion and state are intertwined have problems in all sorts of ways. Created nations have another level. The UAE and Israel have a great deal more in common than they have separating them.

Agreed, it's a joke. Should be disbanded, imo, or at least the HQ should be kicked out of our country seeing as how they are mostly an anti-US organization.

I was gonna say "if a woman in SA identifies as a man could she get more rights" then I remembered it's SA and so she'd just be thrown off a building or stoned to death. Or both.

Chop chop Square is not somewhere I would ever indilge. They pull expats to the front because it's more humiliating for the person being "punished" to see an infidel. This is not Islam everywhere nor the true nature of the Sauds.

Apparently the Facebook and Instagram oversight board has a twitter account and announced this news on twitter. This is a description from their twitter profile:

"The Oversight Board makes decisions on what content Facebook & Instagram should allow or remove, based on respect for freedom of expression & human rights."

And this is what the group says about itself on its own site:

"As its community grew to more than 2 billion people, it became increasingly clear to the Facebook company that it shouldn’t be making so many decisions about speech and online safety on its own. The Oversight Board was created to help Facebook answer some of the most difficult questions around freedom of expression online: what to take down, what to leave up, and why.

The board uses its independent judgment to support people’s right to free expression and ensure those rights are being adequately respected. The board’s decisions to uphold or reverse Facebook’s content decisions will be binding, meaning Facebook will have to implement them, unless doing so could violate the law."
