Would Kenobi have been against the will of the force if he saved Vader?

Going more into the theoretical side of Star wars, do you think it was possible for Kenobi to redeem Anakin? Since Obi wan is usually criticized for allowing Vader to become what he did, would Obi wan have been going against fate if he had used the force to bring him back up the high ground? What would've happened to Luke/Leia if Obi wan had showed mercy to Vader?

the prophecy wasn't that Anakin would fal tohe darkside, it's that he'd balance the force with sidious quite literally being the source of inbalance, so if anything, sids would just die sooner
