Utilization of both light side and dark side simultaneously in unison allows for the deployment of Force Sever Storm. A large scale AOE force storm that transcends time/space, and also permanently severs all within it from the Force.

The Son feared revan and bowed to him in part because of Revan's ability to use Force Sever Storm.
