How did Abeloth travel the Galaxy?

I'm trying to find info on that. Did she simply fly around everywhere?

I thought she was able to manifest herself in places, sometimes using people as vessels. It's been a while so I'm not quite sure now.

She used Ship as her vehicle after enslaving him to her will.
