Prime versions. This is a lightsabers only fight, but Force augmentation is still allowed; however, Mace isn't in the amped state that he was in against Sidious (standard Vapaad amp due to him fighting a dark sider is allowed still, if relevant). Fight takes place on neutral ground.

Mace could barely even react to Sidious, having to angle his lightsaber to guard and do nothing more. Mace also has no power feats to suggest he can compete with Sidious, and Sidious had him at saberpoint+could have killed Amped Mace with Lightning anytime he wanted to. How is this Mace competing with Sidious?

The novel is canon, lol. At least to Legends.
