So a girl is raped. Her mother reports it. Then it is decided the punishment will be that the rapists sister will in turn be raped. The original rape victim and rape victims mother did NOT want that to happen. So what happens next?

Village elders show up strapped and threaten to get their murder on unless the rape happens, and then the rape happens.

It's a very shit circumstance for Pakistani women as they're basically seen as cattle; especially those living in the smaller villages that are under tribal laws, but those sorts of comments help no one.

The Pakistani government does not condone this and they're going after all those involved in both rapes, though imo, the government should be doing a rediculous amount more to help women. May they get very long prison sentences.
