Both cases are unlikely to happen.

A) Sentry was burned by the Sun because he wanted to kill himself, otherwise the Sun empowers him like all other energy sources.

B) Superman's HV is energy and Sentry has already absorbed / not sold multiples planet-busting attacks. The HV will do nothing to him.

Sentry has even go through the Sun with zero damage against the Collective.

The Sun empowers him as confirmed by Nick Fury, he can draw limitless energy from the Sun:

And he can draw power from all energy sources.
