How did the B-team force their way into Sheev's office?

They would have had to get past these guys:

Dar Wac; Palpatine's secretary or whatever plus senate commandos.

Would the jedi put morals aside and just kill/incapacitate them? Plot hole anyone? How did the fight with Mace go on for so long without any guards responding to all that "ruckus"? You would think senate security was more attentive.

They killed them all as per the novel, I believe.

They took em out.

The spear of energy lengthened, drawing with it out from the darkness the device, then the scarlet blade shrank away and the device slid itself within the softer darkness of a sleeve.

As shouts of the Force scattered Red robes beyond the office's outer doors, the shadow gestured and lampdisks ignited. Another shout of the Force burst open the inner door to the private office. As Jedi stormed in, a final flick of the shadow's will triggered a recording device concealed within the desk.

Audio only.

127 INT. CORUSCANT-LOBBY TO CHANCELLOR’S OFFICE-EARLY EVENING

The FOUR JEDI enter the lobby, raising their arms, and send the Chancellor’s aide, DAR WAC, flying against the wall, along with TWO REPUBLIC GUARDS. They storm into the Chancellor’s office.

What b1tches. The Chancellor may have been a sith, but his aides were still civilians only doing their duties to what was in their minds the sitting democratically elected executive.

What was he suppose to do? 😬

It's just that you don't normally see Jedi sacrificing innocent lives for the greater good tbh.

Needs to happen more often.

Eh.

The new Vader comic is a prime example of how it needs to happen more often. The Jedi there was ****ing ridiculously stupid.

it's not like they killed them. Anyway, a nice expression of how far the order had fallen

Good observation.

maybe even mindtrick them into helping capture palpatine.

Using this method of thought:
1. What is the best thing that can happen if action is taken
2. What is the worst thing that can happen if action is taken
3. What is the best thing that can happen if action isn't taken
4. What is the worst thing that can happen if action isn't taken

The jedi sacrificing himself for civilians in the Vader comic vs B-team attacking Palpatine's civilian staff is different.

RotS:
What's the best thing that can happen if B-team attacks civilians to get to Palpatine?
The Chancellor could be the sith lord they've been searching for and he's put out of power hence preventing the galaxy from a totalitarian leader.

What's the worst thing that can happen if B-team attacks civilians to get to Palpatine?
Palpatine may not be a sith-lord at all (thanks dumbass Anakin) and the jedi just committed political suicide by overthrowing a democratically elected ruler in addition to attacking innocent civilians. This would be the straw that broke the Camel's back when you consider the current dislike towards the Jedi by much of the galaxy already.

What's the best thing that can happen if B-team doesn't attack civilians to get to Palpatine?
Nobody gets hurt and things resume as usual.

What's the worst thing that can happen if B-team doesn't attack civilians to get to Palpatine?
They just wait a bit longer to collect more evidence and public support to find the right opening to "arrest" him without attacking civilians.

Comic
What's the best thing that could happen if the jedi sacrificed civilians to continue fighting Vader?
He might be able to defeat Vader and put an end to his reign of terror on the galaxy. At the very least he could wound him and make it more difficult.

What's the worst thing that could happen if the jedi sacrificed civilians to continue fighting Vader?
He could lose the battle and still allow Vader to spread terror across the galaxy at the cost of the sacrificed civilians who would've died anyway had he not sacrificed them.

What's the best thing that could happen if the jedi didn't sacrifice cvilians to continue fighting Vader?

Vader might have some respect for the jedi and possibly spare them; though every jedi knows this is unlikely.

What's the worst thing that could happen if the jedi didn't sacrifice civilians to continue fighting Vader?
Vader would've done what he did anyway in the comic and more across the galaxy.

Two very different scenarios with different risks and stakes involved.

I don't think Royal Guards are vulnerable to Mind Tricks, TBH.

nothing implies theyve been killed, just knocked out lol
k it's a few days in a hospital but nothing dramatic

I mean, they didn't even go in with the intention kill Palpatine himself initially. Why would they kill some random guards that aren't their target?
