Death penalty doesn't apply to petty crimes so I'm not sure how agreeing with the death penalty would fit your statement. Also, burglary isn't a petty crime, so that example also doesn't really fit your claim.

For the record though, I'm against the death penalty.

breaking and entering is flirting with getting shot... that doesn't mean that death is the appropriate penalty... but in the heat of the moment you can get shot easily doing that kind of shit

Life in prison without parole ain't living. If you're not gonna have a death penalty at least make suicide legal..

trouble with a 'life in prison or suicide' option is that some wrongly convicted people would likely also take a bullet rather than face prison.
