Steve Dillon. (I know he's not long dead - sorry Steve) - but everyone has the same, expressionless, blandness. It's like the guy never really loked at a real person and thought "oh, so THAT'S what happens to someone's face when they get angry/smile/ are afraid/ die etc"
There was a lot of bad stuff in the nineties, both Marvel and DC. some of the X-men stuff was eye-wateringly bad.
I disagree about Romita Jr. I know most people on KMC seem to loathe his stuff, but I like it. This for instance
That's pretty good art as far as I'm concerned. Much, much better Wolverine art than 99% of the turd that's squeezed out in most monthlies.
Same with Bachalo. Same general hatred on here, but I love his stuff. His Strange, for example, brilliant stuff
