what is to be gained by this?i'm reminded of the patriot act and how after 9/11 everyone was worried the war on terror was going to be flipped to start taking away more and more civil liberties of ordinary citizens.
this is what comes to mind for me when people are insistent of labeling their ideological opponents as terrorists. that it's a first step/precedent towards later being able to strip them of certain rights.
the groups that systematically carry out terror should be labeled as terror groups, and when found guilty of actual terrorism should be prosecuted for such. i see nothing to gain by trying to label broad grass roots political movements as "terrorist" other than that it might make it easier for you to strip them of their rights.

Huh?
The world is changed. I taste it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air.
Much that once was has now changed, Charlottesville changed things, it was a tragedy, but it lead to craziness. Unhinged leftists roaming through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix that is a toppled statue.

Lol...I'm sorry, I thought you were educated. I borrowed that from a Ginsberg poem. It wasn't racism.
Oh and the first part was LOTR. That is how I roll, beat generation poets plus LOTR shenanigans. Deal with it, crazy is in now. Seen any horses names you find offensive?

Everyone needs to see this, it is ridiculous:On Friday, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights held its monthly meeting in Washington. A liberal member introduced a stirring denunciation of the Nazi, KKK and white-nationalist participants in the Charlottesville rally. But then Commission member Gail Heriot introduced an amendment that would have added the following:
Though we support peaceful protest and note that most of the counter-demonstrators were peaceful, we condemn violence by anyone, including violence by so-called antifa demonstrators.
Seems reasonable. But..
"Karen Narasaki, another commission member, scoffed at Heriot’s reading of Stolberg’s New York Times observation about the antifa activists in Charlottesville. As she voted against Heriot’s amendment, she noted, “You can’t believe everything you read in the media.” Apparently, the “paper of record” for so many liberals is to be considered bird-cage lining material if it contradicts the left-wing narrative. Heriot’s amendment was voted down 6–2."
Why vote it down?
