I'm interested in the G1 scene's how much of it will be in the film.

Hope its good.

The human side kick angle they are going with once again bothers me though. Hope it doesn't ruin the movie.

^ They have to have that. A movie with Transformers alone wouldnt be feasible budget wise. Nor would a Godzilla film with monsters alone.

Yeah but most of the time it's some teenager or kid that gets massive screentime instead of giving them minor roles with minor screen time.
You go see these movies to see giant robots or giant monsters not to have them take a back seat and have generic human teen on the screen 80% of the movie.

Even with the Transformers comics, There's very little of the human element maybe 10% or 15% of it when they are in it.

Yeah but again, its about feasbilibity for a movie budget. Can draw whatever you like in a comic for no extra cost.

Live action & comics have their pros and cons. Getting that balance isnt easy and will never please everyone.

They've said its a prequel and a soft reboot of the franchise.

According to John Campea this is a complete reboot. About 22 minutes in he talks about it.

I was only going by what i read before the movie came out, But that info from John Campea clears it up.

Just make it a Good Old Fashioned Giant Robot Sci Fi Movie..

Its not been marketed as a complete reboot. Otherwise why set it in the 80s?

So im guessing its a prequel thats not too bothered about continuity ala X-Men First Class.
