Forgotten 80's films

I remember sitting with my Uncle and watching Quicksilver with Kevin Bacon, which is a movie I never recall watching growing up. Movies like The Explorers and the Last Starfighter also came a lot later for me, and again I never recall even hearing about them growing up. What are some 80s movies that you never see brought up with usual mentions of Alien, ET, etc- but are movies that you feel are just as good just never talked about?

The Quiet Earth. Excellent last man on earth type post apocalypse movie.

Battle Beyond the Stars. Space remake of Seven Samurai that doesn't get the plaudits that The Magnificent Seven western remake does.

Flight of the Navigator.

Aye when I rechecked it was definitely 80s I seen his mugshot on IMDB.

He's still doing better than Sarah Jessica Parker though.

Hell yes, great decade.

BEST OF THE BEST, excellent cheesy MA movie.

THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER. Bull from Nigh Court as an evil monster, excellent Kathleen Beller butt scene, cool if impractical sword.

Soul Man.
