Ah, I figured it was just an edgy reference to the Matrix and having ones eyes opened to reality he was using here. That actually makes more sense, he looks and sounds like a whiny "incel" type.

Critical Theory seems to have a heavy influence on leftist politics..

But tbh, the left simply doesn't seem all that relevent in this country, except to rile up and mobolize the marginalized to vote. Other then that, the neo-liberals capitalists looking to get rich.

You certainly don't see "tear it all down" leftists in any real position of power.

The left has been great at reminding everybody what this country is about. It just so happens that what the country is about is the opposite of what the leftists believe, but they have served as great reminders for why they things they do not believe in are necessary.

Plus the good news is that if the rest of the world ever decides to embrace the "diversity in appearance, but not in thought" outlook...we can look to them for advice.

That assumes they are capable of giving advice and aren't out protesting people who hurt their feelings.
