Sure they do, it's called complete physical domination. Nobody on team 1 has resistance to being mind controlled, and the symbiotes have fought off cancer, penance stare and a slew of other things. And nobody on team 2 uses energy blasts so those suits are useless.

😬 Cap, Panther, and Logan all have tp resistance feats. The suits absorb and can then release kinetic energy. Last time I checked, all of team two favors punching people and nobody has any sort of answer for getting a door through the torso.
