Yoda and Sidious Force Shields

Before they fought, say, when Yoda pushed Sidious and Sidious electrocuted Yoda. Is there anything indicating that either of them had raised any form of Force Barriers to defend themselves from potential jabs like those? Because nothing I've seen or read indicates that they did.

Passive Force Barriers would of done the job.

It's pretty obvious they had at least passive barriers up. They would've been dead had they had no defence at all.

In Canon, nah. In Legends, sure.
